DRY KILNS DIVISION FACILITIES

St Croix Valley Hardwoods values its superior green lumber and takes the extra care to insure that we process this raw material into the best kiln dried stock possible. We fully inspect incoming stock and always accurately sticker to keep the lumber flat and straight. The Red and White Oak goes into our 500,000 bm pre-dryer to keep the stock clean and free of weather checking. Our white woods go directly into new aluminum kilns with high-speed fans and extra heat coils to avoid discoloration or stain and keep the sapwood as bright as possible. Major new kiln construction and replacement projects from 2003 through 2005 will give us a drying capacity of 500,000 bm per charge.
